Overthinking meaning and Disadvantages of Overthinking in your life?

Hello. Nowadays in this competitive world, the stress and pressure are increasing in the life of most of the people and this is resulting in lack of happiness or increase in unnecessary burden in most of our life and that causes overthinking.
 
Overthinking

Overthinking is the state of our mind where we are not able to control our emotions or when we are thinking negative about anything.

Overthinking can be good or bad, for Ex- Someone who wants to create something new and innovative will have to think more and with a creative mind to achieve his/her goal and in this case its really great but here we are talking about overthinking- the problem.

Overthinking can be a serious problem for you in your life because it reduces the action taking ability of an individual because in overthinking a person thinks negative and that takes the motivation to do something away, it means a person starts to getting controlled by the negativity around him/her.


 As every problem in our life gets solved when we try to know the correct reason behind that particular thing, the solution to this problem is also that simple. So, let's look at some problems that overthinking will cause you in your life and its solutions.

Disadvantages of Overthinking
These disadvantages are based on reality and I have experienced some of these:

1) Overthinking makes you feel wrong/ negative about your close ones (not with everyone but many)
Yes, It includes our family members, friends and the other person we know in our life. Sometimes it happens that if you are in problem and your close ones due to any reason didn't connect to you/helped you at that time, you start to think various negative things about that person which may not be true.
 
We start to blame others instead of taking full responsibility for our life and taking the required actions to avoid that problem. Overthinking takes us away from taking actions.

2) Overthinking disturbs your Brain
Our brain works according to what we think but just thinking too much about anything affects the functioning of your brain. Our brain capability to think and find solutions to our problem disturbed because we are too stressed about our life and everyone can't thrive in the stress.

3) Overthinking creates negativity and stress
There is no doubt about this. We feel unnecessary stress in our life. Sometimes we exaggerate our problems than what we g.
 
In other words, thinking makes our thinking problem-oriented instead of solution-oriented. 


4) Overthinking makes you feel guilty
Sometimes, we do something mistakenly unwillingly or say something to someone which after some time think we shouldn't have done. And when we think too much about that, that makes us feel guilty which is not the solution instead it will hurt you. So, you should go and talk to that person to solve that matter.

This is just an example but many times we suffer problems such as these if not the same. 

Solutions of Overthinking

1) Think solution oriented which means try to find the actual reason behind the problem/stress that you are suffering. Don't think too much about your problems but try to find the positivity around you.

2) Overthinking destroys the peace of your mind and that's why you should try to be mentally peaceful and happy and meditation is one of the best ways to be mentally healthy.

3) Don't make your life as a burden and try to live limitlessly and that will reduce the negativity and the self-doubt that many of us create on ourself by thinking too much.

You are there to live happily and to make others happy by helping them. You are way stronger than you think.

4) Use social media wisely, it means don't trust anything blindly. Stop judging yourself. Love yourself and focus on improving yourself continuously by regular learning and growth.

5) If you are suffering financially than start learning and find the best ways to earn money and it will be great if you think big i.e. to have an aim which will help others also.

Thinking small also makes us unhappy because we are never happy about results whether we succeed or fail.

Conclusion:

Overthinking is a problem if it is consistent with us as it affects our lives in many ways. But it's not such as a big problem that we can't control. We have to only bring some changes in our lifestyle and the way we think and the things will be under your control.
